Town Hall

Used to be the Town Council Building with a hall for public use. Very popular during festivities for dances. Located along Bandar Hilir Road opposite the Coronation Park.

A Geyser?

No not a geyser but an instant fountain courtesy of TNB contractors by bursting a main water pipe. Photos courtesy of Princess, my eldest child with her handy Samsung cellphone camera. Location is just a stone throw to the west side of my home and our water supply was also cut.

Clock Tower

Not Portugese or Dutch but donated by businessman Mr. Tan Beng Swee in 1886 with British movements and replaced with Seiko movements in 1982.

Wrong Use

I first knew it as MPH, then a hawker center, a Karyaneka Store, vacant for a while and now Tourist Police Station? I am sure it could be put to better use! Along Riverside Road.
